I have decided to finally start my blog. I know there are many others out there, but this one's mine. It is here for me to post swatches of nail polishes I have, nail art I have done and maybe some random ranting resulting in exchange of ideas.
To start with, I'd like to show a franken polish I made the other night. I'd love to have the ever beautiful Nfu-Oh 51 but it's not one that I can splurge on right now, so I tried to make my own and here are the results:
Above are the polishes I used to make the franken L-R->
Sally Hansen Secrets / Maybelline Colorama Pink Pinata / Sally Hansen Carnivale / Sally Hansen Cobalt Seas. I'm afraid I don't know the ratios though, I just added each colour until I was happy with the result.
Till next time!

You did a fantastic job on that franken! I have 51 and I think you came very close. To get it even closre you would need a bit more red in the base and to make it more jelly, plus 51 doesn't have any glitter, just flakies. However, I rather like your version!
ReplyDeleteKitty - thank you so much for your tips and the compliment! I will have to revisit this franken at some point. It's tough to tell from swatches online whether or not I was close to the right shade and mine is a bit more red in real life but I found that purple polishes are hard to capture with cameras.
ReplyDeleteI also like your version, it is interesting and unique
