NOTD: Color Club Wild At Heart + BM plate 201

Pin It Now!
Thought Of The Day (TOTD)

Drinking pop (carbonated drinks) makes me hiccup.  Weird.

On to the nail stuff!

Color Club Wild At Heart - oh my! Where has this polish been all my life?! LOVE IT!! I can't believe that I only now acquired it because it really rocks my socks! Not only is it the perfect purple shade (to me), but it's a holographic nail polish AND it's a one-coater! I don't think this could get any better.  I'm just amazed and I absolutely love it.  I think this make Color Club my fave nail polish brand from here on.

Bottle shot in the sun

To see the effects of holo polishes, you must be in the sun but I took these shade photos to show how it looks normally.  In the shade, this one's still beautiful it almost looks like a gradient, I love it!

I tried a design from a BM (Bundle Monster) plate # 201 with China Glaze DV8 (from the OMG Collection) and for some reason the DV8 looked non-holo on top of the Wild At Heart, it was weird. How can one holo cancel out another?! This is without a top coat as I don't have one that doesn't kill holos.

Shade pics to show the pattern better

I must admit that I'm a little more than sad that my two loves don't want to play well together and this also has be intrigued and makes me want to try other holo combinations to see if it happens again.  It's just weird

Till next time!

  2. Very cool...I know they are holo but seeing how they didn't play well, did you think about how it would look matte? Maybe tomorrow when its suppose to rain...then you won't miss the holo so much!

  4. mrsrexy - I couldn't believe one holo could kill another like that, but it happened. Now I've moved on and removed that mani, but maybe next time I'll try a top coat or a matte top coat, like you suggested.

  5. Hmmm I wonder if it could be because the design you chose is so busy? Maybe a less busy design would work. I have Wild at Heart but mine looks a lot darker than yours. Mine is almost a burgundy but not quite...it is a really dark purple and yours looks more lilac or light purple. Weird.
