Now I'd like to show something I wouldn't normally put up here, a car commercial BUT before I lose any of you, it's all hand painted on nails! You need to see this, if you haven't already, I think it's gotten over 2.5 million views.
For those that haven't come across holographic nail lacquers yet, here's an extreme close up for you to show why the rest of us go crazy for it, it's a rainbow on your nail!

On to the nail stuff!
There have been many times on MUA that I've read girls asking other girls how to wear certain nail lacquers and I must say I (sometimes) get annoyed at constantly seeing this. I normally say nothing there, but I must say it here.
Now don't get me wrong, I get that there are certain colours that look best layered over something else and maybe it's better just to have someone tell us what that is, but seriously? At the risk of already sounding mean, I just have to say it - umm experiment! It's just paint that can be removed if it doesn't work. Geez. I know that wasn't warm and fuzzy, but we can't always be nice and yes, I too will probably ask for advice at some point, but not *all* the time.
Ok rant over.
The sun was out the other day so I decided to do my own experiment with Sally Hansen Diamond. I wanted to see what it would look best over, so I tried it over silver, black white and without anything. I think it was 2 coats each.

ReplyDeleteDiamond over silver and black look so good! I layer mine over either silver foil or china glaze hologram because the ChG looks awful on its own XD
and whee! one of those blogs is mine XD lol
@ABBY You just have to keep your eyes opened for those golden tops, I got this one from a cosmetics warehouse that closed down, they were getting rid of all their stock.
