NOTD: KleanColor Blue-eyed Girl

Pin It Now!
On to the nail stuff!

How many of you have done swaps so far? The other day I completed a swap with a new friend over at My Nails: A Love Affair and we had a great time conversing and figuring out what pretties we wanted from one another.  She reminded me of a KleanColor beauty I've swatched but didn't post yet, so here is KleanColor Blue-eyed Girl #191.

It's a blue jelly filled with hex glitter in two sizes.  This is the first time you'll see me putting this type of lacquer on because I've never liked jellies or glitter much, but this one's fun.

Please excuse the poor application. I know some of my nails look lumpy because I didn't really know how to do it right, I sort of globbed in all on, ha! This was 3 coats and obviously no underwear, you can see the VNL.

How many of you like jelly finishes? How many of you wear glitter?

Till next time!

  1. I want to like these, but the irregular glitter makes me twitchy.

  2. its soo prettyyy :D this is my fav color. I have a question though when you take it off is it pain in the butt like regular glitter polish?

  3. I second Abby. Also, it looks like it could stain big time, does it? Teal of Fortune from Wet n' Wild stains like crazy and it's a jelly foil so it makes me curious about this one. Naturally, I love it though.

  4. I love glitter, but haaaate taking it off. Such a pain... Jellies I'm not too big on. I don't like having a VNL, so I usually pass.

  5. I've recently started using the foil trick for glitter and it works as well as everyone says it does.

Also, this colour is KICK ASS. Want!

  7. @Noelie I thought I wouldn't like it 'cause I'm not big on glitters, buuuuuuuut I ended up liking how this looked, minus the bumpy finisih, but I'm sure if I tried another time, I'd get this one to be smooth too.

  8. @ABBY Honestly, that's tough for me to answer, 'cause I think I've worn glitter twice in my life.

Let's say I didn't have to resort to the foil method, but I did soak a cotton round and I held it on each finger for about 30 before it all slid off. I guess that could be considered the poor man's foil method, ha!

  9. @déjà vu I thought it would stain too but it did not. But you do have to keep in mind that I only swatched it, I didn't acutally wear it for a couple of days as a mani, so my answer isn't really accurate either. I will make sure to update next time I wear it out. I know I will.

  10. @Lindsey R I'd normally pass on jellies too, but I think in this case the glitter kind of covered up the VNL and it didn't bother me much.

  11. @Zorbs The colour sort of does kiss ass, I agree. Plus I bought this one locally, seeing as you're in the T.O, you should be able to find it no prob.

  12. @Elizabeth Life and Polish Wow, that's quite the reaction. I can't say I love it, but it's def growing on me.

  13. I love jellies and the depth it creates! But I don't really like glitters as they can be gritty and a pain to remove. Though I have to agree that glitters suspended in a jelly base can look really beautiful!

    1. That's a fair comment, I do find that glitters aren't easy to remove but sometimes are worth it for the look.

    1. Oh I'm all about darker purples, but sometimes a nice blue slips in there too. If you like a jelly with different sized glitter, then you'll love this one.

  19. This is one of my all time fav Kleancolor polishes and like you I am not a glitter lover at all. This has such an amazing shine on the base.
