NOTD: Marbling experiment -> holos + fauxnad = awesome!

Pin It Now!
On to the nail stuff!

For some reason, I've tried marbling about a year ago, then I left it alone and stuck to stamping.  After trying it again the other day, today I've decided to give marbling a chance again, with better results.  I started off with China Glaze Cheers To You as a base, a nice glittery silver and then marbled over that.
All photos in the sun to show the holo

For the marble effect I used 3 of the China Glaze OMG collection colours, just to keep things uniform as far as the formula goes.  I used China Glaze LOL, China Glaze DV8 and China Glaze OMG. Cool effect eh? For those who don't know how to do this technique, I recommend to check out tutorials on youtube and just put in 'water marble' and you'll find a lot of great ones. Maybe once I get good at this, I'll make a tutorial myself.

This design reminded me of colours I've seen on graffiti walls, so I decided to add something that's prominent in graffiti pieces - arrows! The stamping plate I used for it is on Bundle Monster BM20, from the old set they sold. I'll have to take some photos of those plates to show them to you all.

I've not seen any marbling with stamping yet, what do you girls think?

Till next time!

  12. @kelliegonzo Thank you, it's not as easy as I thought it would be and to me far from being executed well, but I do appreciate that you think so.

  14. @mrsrexy Thank you! I know most want to see it without but I really thought it went well together. I guess I've seen too many graffiti pieces in my time; I used to manage a graffiti crew and used to take pics of their stuff all the time.

  16. @Lindsey R Thank you. Brave it, do it do it dooooo eeeettt! It's not as messy if you tape it up right. The main difficulty seems to be finding what polishes cooperate with this technique.

  23. Wow, I really love your combo for marbling and I think it is one of the best I ever seen but I can't say the same for stamping it just doesn't fit (just my opinion). On the first photo it looks like you have butterflies on your fingers
