On to the nail stuff!
For some reason, I've tried marbling about a year ago, then I left it alone and stuck to stamping. After trying it again the other day, today I've decided to give marbling a chance again, with better results. I started off with China Glaze Cheers To You as a base, a nice glittery silver and then marbled over that.

All photos in the sun to show the holo
For the marble effect I used 3 of the China Glaze OMG collection colours, just to keep things uniform as far as the formula goes. I used China Glaze LOL, China Glaze DV8 and China Glaze OMG. Cool effect eh? For those who don't know how to do this technique, I recommend to check out tutorials on youtube and just put in 'water marble' and you'll find a lot of great ones. Maybe once I get good at this, I'll make a tutorial myself.
This design reminded me of colours I've seen on graffiti walls, so I decided to add something that's prominent in graffiti pieces - arrows! The stamping plate I used for it is on Bundle Monster BM20, from the old set they sold. I'll have to take some photos of those plates to show them to you all.
I've not seen any marbling with stamping yet, what do you girls think?
Till next time!

Looks great!! I actually JUST TODAY did marbelling + stamping too! I did rainbow marble and a jaguar type print stamp over it, But I can't post it yet cause I am using it for blogs in bloom, so it will be a guest post there eventually!

ReplyDeleteWoah! I love this mani!! very pretty :) good job!
ReplyDeleteI'm a new follower and this photo led me to your blog! Great job! It's nice to see another nail polish blogger from Toronto :)
ReplyDelete@Erika Thank you and I'm happy to hear that you're doing something like this. It sounds really awesome, can't wait to see it!
ReplyDelete@kelliegonzo Thank you, it's not as easy as I thought it would be and to me far from being executed well, but I do appreciate that you think so.
ReplyDelete@Anja Thank you, I had fun doing it.
ReplyDelete@mrsrexy Thank you! I know most want to see it without but I really thought it went well together. I guess I've seen too many graffiti pieces in my time; I used to manage a graffiti crew and used to take pics of their stuff all the time.
ReplyDelete@Kristy Thank you *pats self on the back* I needed that!
ReplyDelete@Lindsey R Thank you. Brave it, do it do it dooooo eeeettt! It's not as messy if you tape it up right. The main difficulty seems to be finding what polishes cooperate with this technique.
ReplyDelete@Lydia Thank you kindly.
ReplyDelete@Cali369 Thank you, I can't wait to get better at it.
ReplyDelete@ABBY Thank you!
ReplyDelete@Hayley Welcome and thank you, that's a nice compliment. Also, if you know of other T.O or Canadian bloggers, let me know, I'll be doing a feature on them soon.

WOWZA! so totally Awesome!
ReplyDelete@Hayley That's great, thank you. I've added her to my list.
ReplyDelete@Danielle Haha, that's a great reaction. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteWow, I really love your combo for marbling and I think it is one of the best I ever seen but I can't say the same for stamping it just doesn't fit (just my opinion). On the first photo it looks like you have butterflies on your fingers
ReplyDeleteWow! Great design.
