NOTD: Sally Hansen GITD & Color Club Fractured Smash Hit = glow in the dark crackle mani

Pin It Now!
Ever sit there, bored, surfing the net and trying to figure out what your next mani will be? This is when I get to layering and things happen. This is another one of those evenings.

On to the nail stuff!

I already did a full mani with some Revlon taupe (which name escapes me right now) and I was going through my stash to see what I could franken with next when I came across Sally Hansen Glow In The Dark (6465-01) and I just needed to try it. I think it was all the early Halloween talk on MUA that finally got me to try this.

At first I only did 3 nails

Then I decided to add Color Club Smash Hit over 3 to see if the camera would still pick up the glow in the dark part.  Let me tell you, it's not easy to take pics with a small point and shoot, but it helps if you know enough to have it on manual mode without flash.

At this point I figured I might as well add top coat on to make things look pretty.

Here's the shot with the bottle for those who want to find this one, it's an oldie but a goodie.  I happen to have found a few at a dusty and picked them all up before I knew that they worked.  I figured there'd be girls out there who would need this to live.  It's in my SWAP section HERE.

This whole post is sort of for fun, but I suppose I'll have to revisit this one when I have proper lights and can brace myself for a few seconds to get the dark pics less blurry.

Till next time!

  3. @Lindsey R I thought it looked cool with the crackle too. I wanted it to glow a lot, so I had it under the light and turned it off and immediately took the pic.
