On to the nail stuff!
I love seeing comps and I wanted to show one that has a couple of oldies and a couple of newbies in it, just because they're almost all the same. There seem to be many dupes for this type of colour, shifting from purple to green, including OPI's Not Like The Movies, Deborah Lippmann's Wicked Game and Zoya Ki, but I don't own those to comp them. Guess there's one for every price point.
Ready? In the bottles these all look different, no?

If you'd like to see, I've done full manis of Wet 'n Wild Gray's Anatomy HERE and Revlon Silver Switch HERE
First I tried them with nothing underneath, 3 coats each, they don't look like much, right? They're all in the same order as the bottles above.
Below are with black under 3 coats, black really makes these pop, so if you ever get a colour that's sheer and doesn't look like much, try it over black or a dark.
I wanted to show the full range of colour, so here's a crazy angle, nothing under
Finally with black under, again to make the colour pop, you can really see the colour shift to green from the purple, love that!
As you can see they're such close dupes if you have one, you don't need the others. The only thing that's visible in all the photos that differs is that the finish on the Revlon is a matte or something, but I didn't use top coat on any of these.
Till next time!
Till next time!

Very helpful, thanks!
ReplyDeleteoh man, i just bought the WnW and i already have the SH.
ReplyDelete@KarenD Sure thing. I kind of wish that I knew that these were so alike before I bought more.
ReplyDelete@Enamel Girl You'll own a dupe. The WnW looks a bit darker on its own though, so I guess it's not a total loss.
