NOTD: Revlon Blue Mosaic

Pin It Now!
On to the nail stuff!

Today I want to show you Revlon Blue Mosaic, from the 2011 fall Expressionist Collection. I was lucky enough to receive this one as a gift from an online nail friend. She also sent me Starry Pink, see it  HERE.

This one's a clear base with blue glitter and large hex glitter in blue, green and silver. I used 3 coats here.

I'll have to layer this one over something, so that it doesn't look so bare. I'm not sure over what yet. I'm open to any suggestions if any of you have found a great combo.

Till next time!

  1. I heart this polish! The green in it gives it that extra something special. Looks great on you! :D I wore it layered over NYC Teal the End and also over China Glaze Towel Boy Toy, loved both manis. <3

  2. Thats a great macro shot of the glitter!

I don't have any specific colours to recommend for a base but when I seen it over another blue, maybe like Zoya Robin or close, it kinda filled in the gaps...while I haven't cracked open my bottle of this yet, I'll be putting it over a base for sure!

  3. Love this one! It's soooooo shiny. I layered mine over an LA Girls FLARE (from Forever 21, so the name is simply "Turquoise". Not sure what it's real name is.)

  4. I tried mine over Revlon Blue Lagoon and liked it, but I was thinking about trying it over Wet and Wild Fast Dry Teal of Fortune too.
This is a dupe for OPI Gone Gonzo, except GG doesn't have the green glitter in it.

  5. I seriously almost bought this polish today...pretty sure I'll be picking it up at some point. ;) I think I'd put it over black, like your standard Wet 'N Wild Black Creme. I got an awesome NYC micro multiglitter today and swatched it over black with a Bundle Monster french tip chevrons stamp using Pure Ice Silver Mercedes. SO cute!
