NOTD: Golden Rose Care + Strong No.212 + My Secret

Pin It Now!
On to the nail stuff!

I've always liked the look of a purple base with a red/orange/green flake on top, but I think I'm yet to do that combination myself, until now. Here's Golden Rose Care + Strong No.212 with My Secret flake on top (the number or name of which I don't know right now and will have to update at a later time.

I just love the flash of green on these flakes, don't you?

Till next time!

  4. Oh yes, this really is a stunning combo. Your photos capture the colour shift in the flakes so beautifully.

    1. Oh thank you. The trick with photographing flakies really is just to not do so in direct sunlight. As long as there is an overcast sky, they will come out to play.

  5. I love pretty much everything about your nailstyles and I started following your blog a while ago. You have almost the same taste about nailcolors as me. I totally adore every single color and style you're posting, but most of the brands you're using I never heard about and they seem to be not affordable for me. Also you inspired me to experiment more with duochrome/ flaky combos for example. thx :)

    1. Well thank you so much for a great compliment. I feel like an odd duck sometimes, because I don't care much for reds/pinks and such, but then again, that's the beautiful thing about doing your nails, you get to pick the colours you prefer, not others.

I'm glad that you've been inspired and I'm sure you will find substitutes you can afford to do similar looks with.

  7. I do really love the "rainbow" the flakes create on the nail depending on the light. It's a really great effect! I also love the blue/green reflections of the flakes onto black/dark blue polishes as a base.
