On to the nail stuff!
I want to show you an unlikely colour combination I tried and actually liked, red and purple. I might have to experiment and do odd combinations to see how they look, but I can't promise that they'll always work out, so be pre warned.

After swatching Golden Rose Classic Metallic No.07 I felt like doing some kind of a flower design on top of it so I chose Red Angel plate RA-112 because this design makes me think of an orchid.
I used Sally Hansen Royal Purple Chrome to stamp with and viola!
In the close up, you can really see the shape of the orchid flower in this design.
What do you think? Would you pair up purple and red together? Does it work for you? See Golden Rose Classic Metallic No.07 swatched in its own HERE.
This is of course the base of the mani I showed you the other day HERE. And as promised, I'm deconstructing it for you. So if you take the above, then add black stamping from Red Angel plate RA-107...
... this is what you end up with.
Till next time!

The stamping is really pretty. Do you know if the golden rose metallics are stampable?
ReplyDeleteThank you. I haven't tried to stamp with the Golden Rose Metallics yet, but the ones I've swatched have not been one-coaters so most likely not. If they do, I will make sure to post about them.
DeletePurple and red an odd combo but it works! and the bottom picture OMG yes! I love this look :)
ReplyDeleteLooks great! My first thought about that metallic was same as Bunny Nails...does it stamp? lol! I'll have to check back to see if you post about it!
ReplyDeleteReally like this!
ReplyDeleteWow - I like that a LOT - very regal looking!
ReplyDeleteI'm a fan of purple and red in general and your specific combo is fab. You also chose a great pattern to stamp with.
ReplyDeleteVery, very pretty! I love it, and it inspires me to go try out my hand at stamping again.
ReplyDeleteI must be honest, red and purple works this way!
ReplyDeleteIt was the black, in the other mani, not working the right way, IMO.
I would see another colour instead of red, with black and purple; but, without black, this red and this purple really rock together!!
Looks gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI looooooooooooooooooooooooooove it *-* Really nice!!!
ReplyDeleteStunning!!!!!!!!!
