On to the nail stuff!
How about I show you something a little different today? For those of you who don't know me very well yet, you won't know that I absolutely LOVE motorcycles and have wanted one for a very long time. I also like the look of carbon fiber on motorcycles and other stuff, including my nails. I have yet to find proper stickers/decals, seeing as it's always flowers or pretty things that girls should wear on their nails, right? Why not carbon fiber for a weirdo like me?!

While looking up motorcycles to show you what carbon fiber looks like, I found this one. OMG! It's a Honda CBR660rr!! This is the exact motorcycle that I want to get. I'm love over here!

To do my nails this way, I actually bought a carbon fiber look alike sticker that you can use to cover things with. It didn't turn out the way I wanted it to exactly so my search continues. If anyone would like to see the process, I could post a tutorial.
What do you think? Anyone else out there into a look like this or am I alone?
Till next time!

That is so unique! I actually love the way it turned out. I though you had spent ages with matte nail polish to recreate the look :P
ReplyDeleteOh wow, I can't imagine trying to recreate this look manually... although, there might be a stamp out there that could double for this look. Hmmmm... but in the end, I still think a sticker would be awesome. Maybe I'll try to print the design on decal paper and see if I can do it that way. I mean if no one sells it, I'll have to be inventive.

ReplyDeleteOh wow, that looks so wicked! o__O
ReplyDeleteLOL. thank you. I'm glad you like it. It's still not how I'd like it to look, but I tried.
DeleteIt's really a great and unique look! I'd like to see a tutorial!
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend :-)
cbr 660? wow you must ride a bit? I barely ride and would never get on that for fear of it taking off on me hahah. My hubby has a kawasaki ninja 636 and I can't imagine trying to control that thing at 170 mph, of course you would have to change gears to get that far, but even first can be fast. So far I'm working on riding only what I can pick up if i drop it XD freaking looooooove the carbon fiber my brother-in-law just saw them (he has the same bike as my hubby) and was all "OoOoOoOoOoooo" Awesome job!!!!!!! BTW I would LOVE to see the tutorial for this!
ReplyDeleteThis is amazing!!!!
ReplyDeleteWOW!!!! This is so sexy. I've never seen textured nails like that and I'm in love! Please post a tutorial, and I can't imagine why you're not happy with how they turned out, they look perfect!
ReplyDeleteI love it!!! It's cool and different and edgy, you're definitely not a weirdo to want it on your nails! I hope you find the look you're looking for

This looks awsome!
I really like this mani. Too bad my nails are very curved, I don't think I could keep the stickers in place...
ReplyDeleteI'm not into motorcycles but I could see myself rocking this look :)
ReplyDeletePlease, TUTORIAL! =)
ReplyDeleteOh, that looks so cool! I'm not sure if I would do this or not... my skin tone really doesn't look good with black, but then again, if I needed to rock black for some reason, doing so with a cool texture like this would be the way to do it!
ReplyDeletei think its amazing, unique and definitely in need of its own tutorial!!!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! I have had many a motorcycle. Started riding at 19 because I couldn't afford parking where I worked in downtown San Diego and motorcycle parking was free! My first was a little 250cc Ninja and I quickly grew out of it and moved to a Yamaha 750. That was a lot of bike but it was comfortable and my toes just touched the ground. Six months after my daughter was born I got the itch again and got a Yamaha R6 and it was like being reunited with a long lost friend. I never thought I could be without one, but after a few years I decided to let it go for a kayak. Full leathers in the Carolina humid summers got to be too much! Street bikes are not for the timid. There's no second guessing at 140 mph. If you don't know your limits and ride outside of your comfort zone, not so good things can happen. I have seen it happen a few times right in front of me and it shakes you as a rider. A all carbon fiber bike would be SO light and throwing that thing around the corners would be a blast for me!
ReplyDeleteOmg! Love!
ReplyDeleteTruly amazing!
ReplyDeleteThis is really cool!! I love how unique it is! :D
ReplyDeleteI love this look! I am girly but I like other textures as well. Please do a tutorial on this. It's sooo unique :D
