On to the nail stuff!
I know that most of the stamped design manicures I post seem to be ones that turn out pretty well, but the reality is that not all of them do. There's no reason to hide when stuff doesn't work and as much as I like showing you designs that are ok, I need you to know that some fail, like today's.

I used Golden Rose Classic Metallic No.10 as the base and then stamped with Yssy No.3, using a plate BM-225.
I really liked the base I used in this mani, if you missed it, see it HERE. I've also used this Bundle Monster stamp before and it worked out great, see it HERE. So I thought that I'd give this design another try.
I thought that the dark base would look awesome with light over it, creating a nice contrast, but as you can see the white kind of blobbed on there and streaked when I put top coat on, so the end result just isn't what I wanted. Oh well, the idea is to keep experimenting, right?

ReplyDeleteI think it looks amazing. Only when you look at the macro shot do you see anything wrong at all, and even then it's not enough to ruin it. Seriously... I would love to fail this nicely. :)
ReplyDeleteI only see the fail in the macro close up. I'm sure its hardly obvious IRL as is the case with lots of our perceived 'fails'! lol!
