On to the nail stuff!
In the spirit of experimenting with how to do stamped designs on nails, sometimes I try something that looks strange to me. Today is a day when I get to show you a result that I find both strange looking and interesting at the same time. Maybe you can tell me your impression of it. I'm open to comments and critique, as always.

I used Bundle Monster plate BM-208 for the design.
To create this design, I used both black and white lacquer, dabbing it in random places on the design I wanted to use on the plate..
... then I scraped as usual, at which point the two colours sort of mix and intermingle. Then I stamped each nail, creating this strange effect.
Simple.
In the close up photos you can see a little better how nicely the shimmer comes through from the base colour, which I like. You can also see how the colours drag through each other. Click on any photos to view larger.
For the base colour I used Sensique Indian Rose (see swatch HERE).
Till next time!

I love this! I do this alot with mani's and I love how the colors blend, if you go back over your image with the "goo" you have on your scraper from the first scrape you get an even more blended look as well! I love how versatile you can be with stamping. This is just really lovely!
ReplyDeleteNeat tip, Laurie!
DeleteWhile the colors are ones I would choose, I really like this! It reminds me of snake skin! Very cool.
ReplyDeleteThis is great! I love it when people do multicolor stamping, I still have to get a hang of this myself :D
ReplyDeleteI am really loving how this turned out! It is amazing!
ReplyDeleteThis is neat. When I first saw it I thought you did it I the opposite order than you did which makes this even all that better :)
ReplyDeleteI thought you had woven colours for the base. And then realise it was the top coat! Amazed!
ReplyDeleteI think this is really different and pretty! Nice to create something unexpected~
ReplyDeleteFirst impression? Looks cool!! It all makes sense after the 'instructional' pictures :) went from 'looks cool' to 'awesome'!!
ReplyDeleteI think it looks really great :]
ReplyDeleteThat's a neat effect! I thought it was stamping over a magnetic polish at first glance!
ReplyDeleteGORGEOUS!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteINCREDIBLE :D
What a neat way of using this stamp
