NOTD(S): Poland versus Greece manis for EURO2012

Pin It Now!
Being in Europe for the past 6 months, I have been exposed to how passionate Europeans are about soccer. Right now EURO2012 is partially being hosted by my motherland, Poland and it starts today. For those of you who are in Europe, are you into the soccer fever? Will you be watching? Will you be doing any special manis?
Funny thing, I'm leaving Poland today and going to Greece to my aunt's and the very first match happens to be Poland versus Greece. Here are the two respective countries flags.
On to the nail stuff!

In honor of my new found passion for the sport and wanting to show my support, I decided to do a stamped mani interpretation of the two countries flags, one versus the other. Who will win? Obviously the red/white one is for Poland and blue/white one is for Greece.
For the Polish flag, I used Wibo Your Fantasy No 13, 3 coats although this red is so good, it could be good enough with 2. I was pretty impressed with the formula on this one.
For the Greek flag, I used Wibo Your Fantasy No. 135, 3 coats and the formula on this one was good, dried in normal time.
I used Red Angel plate RA-106 and Issy No.3 to stamp with.

Till next time!

  1. Love the idea of this mani! I am not so much into soccer, but this time of the year everybody is in soccer fewer and sometimes I watch with my husband some matches.

  3. Wow, these are amazing. Great interpretation of the flag designs. Soccer isn't that big here in Australia, only when it's World Cup time.
