On to the nail stuff!
Today I get to show you a cheapie but a goodie from a dollar store and a one-coater! You know I love my one-coaters because most of them work great for stamping. Although I haven't tried to stamp with this one, it was great to do a mani with, this is Billie Cosmetics Steel Blue.
Till next time!

I originally remember seeing Billie Cosmetic lacquers at the local Dollar Giant (which is now called Dollar Tree in Canada) and I was reluctant to try them. I saw a post on a fellow Canadian blogger's blog called Deez Nailz and she confirmed what I found out, that this brand is kind of awesome.
The name of this one doesn't really coincide with the actual colour as it's hardly blue, it's more of a mint green foil and what you're seeing on my nails is one coat. Dry time was normal and it does look darker on the nail than in the bottle. Photos taken outdoors on a cloudy day.
Have any of you tried Billie Cosmetic lacquers? Are there any favourites that the rest of us should get?
Till next time!

This is a great color! I don't have any dollar tree's around me but I'll look out for this brand if I ever see it. I bet it stamps well too because it has a metallic look about it that some of my best non-konad stamping polishes have too.
ReplyDeleteI hope you find these, you really can't go wrong with them. I have yet to try stamping with this one, but you'll be the first to know when I try it.

ReplyDeleteOf course, I've never heard of this brand. Strange thing for an Italian polish-addicted, isn't it? Mpf :-(
If I consider to save all the money I could spend in duty taxes to get almost some of the polishes I'd like to buy from anywhere in the world, I could use them to move to the States or who-knows-where-else! Italy is so frustrating!
BTW this goodie is really awesome, I cannot wait to see some gorgeous stamping work of yours with it!
I'm not sure that this brand is sold outside of Canada, so someone like yourself in Europe may not have heard of it. I'm sure Italy is frustrating but you are so close to so many other countries that do sell beauties we do not have access to. Make online friends and swap!
DeleteI've never had any luck finding Billie polishes when I go shopping in the states! I found some Sally Hansen polishes (not the Nail Prisms, something else) at a Dollar Tree, but that's been about it! This one looks awesome!
ReplyDeleteWell I've yet to go across the border to shop for pretties, so the Dollar Tree (formerly Dollar Giant) stores I found these at have been in Canada, all around Toronto. I think I've yet to be in one of the stores and NOT see at least a few of Billie brand.
