On to the nail stuff!
There have been quite a few times that I have heard from girls that they never see my fauxnad/stamping fails. Well, while I prefer to post the designs that worked out well, I do occasionally post the ones that didn't. Today I want to show you what I consider a fail. Ready?

To get a fail in my eyes, it's not necessary to smudge the design, it's also possible to get a fail when the colour/design combination just doesn't work. I consider this one to not work.
I started off with Billie Costmetics Plutonium Plum as the base and stamped it with Sally Hansen Foot Foils Submariner, using plate BM-301. Here's one photo below and you see more of that mani HERE. So far so good, yeah?
In the spirit of wanting to experiment with my new Bundle Monster plates, I wanted to add a contrasting design over this one, so I chose plate BM-306 and stamped with Wet 'N Wild Black.
I thought the flower design would look nice in a dark colour over the metallics but I just don't like the end result. It simply doesn't work for my eyes. I will try this design again another time.
Till next time!

I'd never consider this a fail as it looks very appealing to me.
ReplyDeleteWell I can understand why you don't like it. The way the purple comes down into the flower field looks like you did it accidentally sort of like a smudge, but I think the idea and the color choices were dead on!
ReplyDeleteIt's a nice design but you do not like. I really like the stamping.
ReplyDeleteI think we are all our own worst critics...I don't see fail at all but understand how you feel as I feel this way with some of my mani's too!
ReplyDeleteI cannot say I don't like it, it's quite nice at my sight. I think the black covers a little too much the purple section, though.
ReplyDeleteMaybe you can try with the same colour combo but realizing the gradient yourself instead of stamping it..there would be a bigger purple zone and a more noticeable purple/silver mixed nuance..
