On to the nail stuff!
I keep seeing seran wrap (or cling wrap) manicures around the blogoshpere, so I finally tried one. I remember doing this type of technique on some furniture with my mom years ago, to make it look like faux marble and it looks pretty neat on the nails too. All you really need in this case is 2 colours and some seran wrap. Of course I added stamping over it, but that's because to me it was begging for it. What do you think?

All photos taken outdoors on overcast day
The base is Sally Hansen Midnight Sky, then I used seran wrap and Sally Hansen Foot Foils Submariner, then I stamped with Wet 'N Wild Black Creme.
I used Bundle Monster BM-301 plate from the new set. It's a simple design but I really like it, I used it HERE too, if you missed it.
(see all of the plates HERE)
In the close ups you can really see through the black and I wish it was more opaque. The good thing is that in real life, the lines actually look black and not see through.
Have any of you tried the seran wrap technique? I must try a few more with different colours. I think it makes for a great base under stamping. I've had quite a few girls pet my nails, ha!
Till next time!

This looks really awesome! Looks like something a rock chick would wear.
ReplyDeleteThe marbling effect is awesome! Reminds me of a plaster of paris wall my friend did herself for her room. I'll have to try this myself sometime :)
