On to the nail stuff!
Today I get to show you something awesome, a milky glitter, my first one. It's Smitten Polish Huckleberry Pie from the 2012 Nommy Noms collection. Since I love my purples, I might be biased but this lilac shade is just so pretty! I mean, it's basically the colour of my main font on here, woot!

All photos taken outdoors on a cloudy day
Huckleberry Pie is filled with various sized purple and blue glitters that make it sparkle. I used 3 coats as I normally do, topped with Seche Vite. The formula was good and dried in normal time. It might look a bit sheer to start with, but it does build up, which makes sense as it takes a semi-sheer base to show the glitter.
In the close up you can see all the different glitters that are mixed in this beauty. Click on any photos to view them larger.
If you're new to indie lacquers, you can buy this one on Etsy at Smitten Polish store HERE, you can show you love on Facebook HERE and if you like blogs, you can follow the seller on her blog HERE. I suggest checking out the blog, I just saw some awesome new colours on there. I want them!!!

Must. Have.
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous.
This is so pretty! I love it!
ReplyDeletethis is so pretty I want one
ReplyDeleteGorgeous. A lot of indie polishes are too heavy on the glitter for my taste (and I like glitter), but this is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteDitto! This is the right balance!
ReplyDeleteI love indie glitter polishes that are actually opaque. I still like indie glitter top coats but I find there are so many of those out there, whereas more thought goes into these types so there aren't as many available :)
ReplyDeleteI should decide to try indie polishes myself sooner or later, they're so unique! I'm loving this one very much.
ReplyDeleteDuring the next two weeks I'll look for some new polishes, tomorrow I'm leaving for my summer holidays.
I will read you again August 20th. Goodbye and happy polishing!!!
Oh my! You have created a leming for me. This is so pretty :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful polish, and your nails look great.
