On to the nail stuff!
I realize that you would normally expect to see a colour like the one I'm going to show you today in the spring, when all the lacquer lines release their pastel colours, but I don't normally play by the rules and wear what I want when I want. Today I will show you Wibo Express Growth No.413. It was part of my Polish polish haul, shown HERE.
Till next time!

This one disappointed me. It is not a jelly, yet the formula is very sheer, streaky and difficult to work with. I used 4 coats here and you can still see the VNL. I guess I could recommend it for those who want to layer it with a glitter to get the milky effect, the way I did HERE, but that's about it. I also stamped over it HERE.
One of the reasons I picked this one up is because of the shimmer in the bottle, but on the nail, it becomes mostly a hidden shimmer. Shame. Click any photos to view them larger.
Have any of you tried this one? Have the same or different experience with the formula?
Till next time!

While I've never tried this particular brand, I've had problems with streaky, sheer glitter polish in the past. I've found that wearing them over a white base can sometimes help. I have a black color similar to this that I have to wear over a plain black base to even it out. I do have a color that is very similar to Wibo 413. It's Sally Hansen Nailgrowth Miracle in 160 Gentle Blossom. It covers really well with only 1 or 2 coats.
ReplyDeleteI can't say I've tried it...but I'm always disappointed when the shimmer is so nice in the bottle but hidden on the nails.
ReplyDeleteI never tried any Wibo polish and pastels are usually not my cup of tea, but you are right, I expected this one to be prettier, judging from the bottle. I love the stamping over jelly sandwich, though.
ReplyDeleteSigned: an admirer of your SH Prisms collection :-)
Such a sweet color! I love that you don't play by the rules! You manis are always gorgeous :)
