On to the nail stuff!
Today I want to show you a plain white creme lacquer, Sally Hansen White On. Is it ok to wear white lacquer after Labour Day? Ha! I know, it's not white pants, so I'd say it's ok to wear it anytime. Do you wear white? Which one?

The formula on this one's ok. I used 2 coats to get full opacity and to even it out and it dried in normal time.
White is pretty versatile as it can be worn by itself, the way you see it in my photos here but it can also be worn under neons to make them pop, like I showed you HERE or under stamping, like I showed you HERE, used for a striping gradient mani, like I showed you HERE or finally you could stamp with it, like my examples HERE and HERE.
Here's a question for you, what is the best white creme lacquer you have used? I'm always on the lookout for a good one-coater white, so that I can stamp with it. It's tough to find one.

White polishes are always such a pain in the ass. I actually had one great stamping white, but it was matte. Believe me when I say no top coat could make it shiny!
ReplyDeleteI really like SH Insta-Dri in Whirlwind White, but I can't seen to find it in stores anymore! My mom really liked it when I used it on her... I guess I'll have to swap for a bottle if no one restocks here soon!
ReplyDeleteI use a SinfulColors white, works well and was only $1.99 :) 2 coats and done, is also pretty shiny on it's own
ReplyDeleteI used to like White On until it got ridiculously goopy. Now I prefer Sinful Colors Snow Me White. I've never found a one-coat white though.

ReplyDeleteI have tried to get a white mani to look good and fail every time. They get to thick and never dry, the edges look bad. Yours looks perfect! I guess I will keep trying. I do like the OPI My boyfriend scales walls, but I think of it more as a light gray.
ReplyDeleteSally Hansen Insta-Dri Whirlwind White is the best white I've ever used. A nice one-coater. Unfortunately it's been discontinued. I hear Finger Paints Papier Mache is a great one coat white also. I love Finger Paints cremes but I haven't used that one yet.
ReplyDeleteWowza, your nails look amazing! I just cannot abide the Xtreme Wear formula. I had this and threw it out. I use Milani White on the Spot. It's not quite a one coater, but it's close and has a great formula.
