NOTD: Wibo Your Fantasy No.13

Pin It Now!
On to the nail stuff!

Today I get to show you one of my favourite red lacquers. I don't normally like red, but while in Poland, the 2012 Euro was just about to start and I wanted to do a Polish flag manicure to represent my country, see it HERE. I ran into the local Rossman drugstore and picked up Wibo Your Fantasy No.13 and found out that it is amazing!

All photos taken outdoors on a cloudy day
The formula on this one is great! It dried quickly and I used one coat for this mani. Yes, it's a one coater! I used it for stamping HERE and HERE

I need to talk to a Polish polish friend and see if I can get more bottles of this one for back ups. I highly recommend it, especially if you like to do stamp designs! You need it to live, trust me.

Jamberry Nail Shields

Pin It Now!
On to the nail stuff!

A little while ago I was contacted by Jenni of Jamberry Nail Shields to see if I've ever used their product. My answer so far is no, so she sent me some samples to try. As you all know, when I do nail art, I normally stamp but I'm excited to give these a try. Have any of you tried Jamberry Nail Shields before?

This is what came in the package.

China Glaze 2012 Bohemian Collection

Pin It Now!
On to the nail stuff!

I know summer's not quite over yet, but lacquer companies are already showing what's coming up for their fall collections. I want to show you one I'm excited about, the China Glaze 2012 Bohemian Collection. It looks like duochromes and I do love duos! I know there have been some swatches out there already, but I haven't seen these locally yet.
These are press release photos.

Deviantly Daring

 No Plain Jane

Rare & Radiant

Swanky Silk

Unpredictable

 Want My Bawdy

Now, for those of you in Europe or those who have some of the Golden Rose Classic Metallics, don't they look like duplicates? If you missed it, I have bottle shots and swatches of them HERE, you tell me if they don't look alike.

NOTD: Billie Cosmetics Steel Blue + BM-312

Pin It Now!
On to the nail stuff!

Today I get to show you another design using one of the new Bundle Monster stamp plates. If you missed it, I posted individual photos of each Bundle Monster plate HERE. So far this set has been pretty awesome and I have had each one work great.
I used Bundle Monster plate BM-312 for this design.
The base for this manicure is Billie Cosmetics Steel Blue I showed you HERE. I used WnW Black Creme for the stamping. I should mention that this design may not be the easiest to use for someone new to stamping. It's not the easiest to line up the design to look uniform on each nail, it might need some practice.
Have any of you used this design yet? Have you seen it used with different colour combinations?

NOTD: Billie Cosmetics Steel Blue

Pin It Now!
On to the nail stuff!

Today I get to show you a cheapie but a goodie from a dollar store and a one-coater! You know I love my one-coaters because most of them work great for stamping. Although I haven't tried to stamp with this one, it was great to do a mani with, this is Billie Cosmetics Steel Blue.
I originally remember seeing Billie Cosmetic lacquers at the local Dollar Giant (which is now called Dollar Tree in Canada) and I was reluctant to try them. I saw a post on a fellow Canadian blogger's blog called Deez Nailz and she confirmed what I found out, that this brand is kind of awesome.
The name of this one doesn't really coincide with the actual colour as it's hardly blue, it's more of a mint green foil and what you're seeing on my nails is one coat. Dry time was normal and it does look darker on the nail than in the bottle. Photos taken outdoors on a cloudy day.
Have any of you tried Billie Cosmetic lacquers? Are there any favourites that the rest of us should get?

Till next time!

Updates on nailXchange's stuff

Pin It Now!
Today I want to take the time to fill you all in a little bit on what's going on. I know in the blogosphere, we tend to get to know one another, some on a personal level. We send each other packages, talk about real life issues, even visit and go hunting together. This world really is quite amazing, isn't it?

First off, I apologize for my sporadic posting lately. Some of you asked why my posts are not coinciding with the day they are posted. I love posting something new each day and right now I'm trying to fill in the gaps. Since my return to Canada from Europe, I got a job and it's been kicking my butt a bit a little bit, not leaving much time for this world. I'm having a tough time balancing work life and my life, so any tips are welcome.

Secondly, I know my last Giveaway/Contest ended and I've yet to announce the winner. I will go through the entries and pick one asap. I'm also going to launch my next giveaway shortly. If any of you know of someone who'd like to sponsor a giveaway or contest on here, let me know please!

Lastly, I have had a few inquiries on my blog sale. I am going to have one soon, I promise. Some of my lacquers are still in storage so I have to get them unpacked and I have to take photos of quite a few as well. These things are on top of my priority list right now.

I think that's it for now. As always any comments, suggestions and questions are welcome.

NOTD: Lacquistry glitter bomb gradient + BM-319

Pin It Now!

On to the nail stuff!

Earlier this month I showed you a glitter bomb gradient I did with Lacquistry lacquers HERE and now I want to show you what I stamped over it. If you have interest in Lacquistry lacquers, you can purchase them on Etsy HERE, and there's a Facebook fan page HERE.

Photos taken outdoors on a cloudy day. Click any to view larger.

I used Bundle Monster plate BM-319 for the design.
(see BM plates from set # 3 HERE)
To do this manicure, I used Lacquistry Menorah Lights as the base, then I did a gradient with Lacquistry Sugar Plum Soaked In Rum, then I used Wet 'N Wild Black Creme to stamp with.

NOTD: Models Own Aqua Violet

Pin It Now!
On to the nail stuff!

Today I'm going to show you one of my favourite lacquers from the Models Own Beetlejuice Collection, Aqua Violet. I was lucky enough to have found it during my trip to the UK recently. It's such a beautiful colour and such a beautiful duochrome, wow!
All photos taken outdoors on a cloudy day
I used 3 coats as always, the formula was nice and dried in normal time.

I just absolutely adore the colour shift of this one. Out of all the Beetlejuice collection lacquers, do you have a favourite?

NOTD: Lilacquer Supreme Being + BM-314

Pin It Now!
On to the nail stuff!

Today I'm happy to show you one of my favourite things, tone on tone stamping. I've been slowly making it through my new Bundle Monster stamp plate set and I really like this design, I have a feeling I'll use it a whole bunch. What do you think? Have you tried this one yet or seen it used?
The base is Lilacquer Supreme Being and for stamping I used Nina Ultra Pro Sailor. If you didn't see yet, I showed you other Lilacquer Polish bottle shots HERE and where you can purchase them, which is HERE.
The design I used is off of Bundle Monster plate BM-314
(see Bundle Monster plates set #3 HERE)
All photos taken outdoors on a cloudy day. Click any to view larger.

I tried to take a couple of angled photos to show the duochrome of the base colour peeking through the design.
