BLOG ROLL & update

Pin It Now!
I want to say thank you to all of you who wrote to me concerned about where I have been this month. I realize that I've been missing in action and have posted less than ever and I apologize for that. I've been super busy and stressed with this new job, it's taking over my life. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy to be employed in this economy but it hasn't left me much time to post and connect with any of you. I do miss you all and have many posts coming up! Promise!

On to the nail stuff!

I have quite a few posts to catch up on, including announcing the winners of my Big Purple Giveaway (which I know many of you are awaiting for); AND I'm super excited to post my next Contest/Giveaway, you won't believe what I have for you. Hint, there are holos involved.

Today I want to share with you the latest installment of BLOG ROLL, which includes some nail blogs that I have come across lately. Share your love and check them out!

If you know of any nail blogs written by Canadians, Polish girls or redheads, let me know as I want to feature them. The ones I have found so far can be found at the very bottom of my blog here.

Till next time!

Oh the Color Club holos!

Pin It Now!
On to the nail stuff!

Ermahgerd - the holo!! Yes, I had to say that out loud when I picked up this bottle of rainbow wonderfulness. I'm going to show you a teaser post today, so I hope you don't hate me but today I found the long anticipated Color Club 2012 Halo Hues collection in the wild and I couldn't be more excited!

Look at what this bottle looks like under store lighting, not even the sun! This is a bottle of Color Club Harp On It. I can't wait to see this one in action in the sun on my nails!
Have you found these holos yet? I know many of you are holographic fans just like me. Oh the rainbows!

If you're wondering what 'Ermahgerd' looks like, I think this is the perfect face that depicts it. Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's the face I made too, ha!

NOTD: OPI Tomorrow Never Dies

Pin It Now!
On to the nail stuff!

When I saw a swatch of OPI Tomorrow Never Dies on another blog, I knew that I'd have to own it. It is part of the OPI 2012 Skyfall collection that was released recently, see my haul HERE. I picked up a few of the collection, but I think this one is my favourite, I mean, it's purple, of course it's my favourite!
All photos taken outdoors on a cloudy day
I tried to show that this one's purple/indigo and I think that showed up best in the photo below.
In the close up you can see the fine shimmer in this one

The formula was good and dried in normal time. I used 2 coats for this one to get full opacity. I think overall, the duochrome shows up more in the bottle than on the nail but you can still see it at certain angles.

NOTD: OPI Goldeneye gradient with Mash-47

Pin It Now!
On to the nail stuff!

When I put on OPI Goldeneye the other day (see swatch HERE), I immediately wanted to do a gradient and some stamping over it. The funny thing is that when my mom saw this manicure, she exclaimed "I love this! Can I order this design for Christmas on my toes?!" Aw mom, I wasn't thinking of doing a holiday manicure, but I guess this is what she saw in this one. What do you think?
All photos taken outdoors on a cloudy day.
Ok, so I started with OPI Goldeneye and I thought it was so blingy, I wanted to add to it but take away from it being so gold, so I added a gradient with China Glaze Cheers To You (see swatch HERE), then I stamped with Sally Hansen White On.
The design is from Mash-47 plate.
(see all Mash 2012 plates HERE)

If you haven't tried a gradient yet, check out my post on how to do it HERE. You can also find other tips & tricks in the tab on top of my blog.
